CAPITAL HOOPS CLASSIC

Since its debut in 2007, the Capital Hoops Classic has played host to some of the highest recorded attendance figures in U SPORTS basketball history. Over 100,000 fans have experienced the incredible rivalry and epic games between the Gee-Gees and Ravens.

In 2015 a record 10,780 fans attended the event at Canadian Tire Centre.

In 2020, the teams will meet for the 14th edition of the Capital Hoops Classic on Friday, February 7.

 

The Gee-Gees women have won the Capital Hoops Classic trophy four times: in 2019, 2015, 2014, and 2012. The Gee-Gees men were victorious in 2016 and 2007.
