BY THE NUMBERS: Women’s volleyball concludes season against Laval, Sherbrooke

The Gee-Gees women's volleyball season comes to an end this weekend, with a visit to Laval, then hosting Sherbrooke in the Senior Appreciation game on Sunday afternoon at Montpetit Hall. Kara Hayes, Emily Lenton, Dana Bulloch, and Niève Séguin will all be honoured ahead of the game.

• • Kills: Kara Hayes – 2.65 per set
  • Digs: Magalie Frappier – 2.66 per set
  • Assists: Emily Lenton – 5.46 per set

• Kara Hayes will play in the 98th regular season game of her career on Sunday afternoon. In five year with the Gee-Gees, Hayes only missed two regular season games.
• In their most recent meeting with Laval, blocks by Dana Bulloch and a number of aces by Emily Lenton propelled the team to a hot start in the first set by a margin of 25-15.

  • Digs: Maud Chapleau – 3.42 per set
  • Assists: Elizabeth Cavan – 7.40 per set

• Elizabeth Cavan's average of 7.40 assists per set ranks as second-best in the RSEQ.
• Laval is currently tied with Montréal for second place in the RSEQ, and trails first place UQAM by only two points. Laval could potentially finish in first place, having played two fewer games than UQAM so far this season.

SHERBROOKE GAME NOTES

• • Kills: Maude Frechette – 2.49 per set
  • Digs: Maude Frechette – 2.32 per set
  • Assists: Emma Bergeron – 6.30 per set

• Maude Frechette is one of only four players to rank in among the top 10 players in the RSEQ for both kils per game and digs per game.
• Sherbrooke is looking to earn a playoff spot for the first time since 2016-17. They currently have a two-point lead over McGill for the final spot. Both teams have three games remaining on their season.
