For the seventh consecutive season, the University of Gee-Gees and Laval Rouge et Or are meeting in the RSEQ Championship game. This time, the battle is on Matt Anthony Field and the Gee-Gees are looking to defend their title and earn a second straight conference title.

- With a 62-12 win over the Ravens, the Gee-Gees punched their ticket to the U SPORTS national championship tournament and return to the RSEQ Championship game. On the other side of the bracket, Laval took down Concordia 17-7 to earn their spot.
- Last season, the Gee-Gees dropped their home opener to Laval (14-12, Sep. 23, 2023) before defeating them in the RSEQ Championship (27-12, Oct. 23, 2023). Despite the loss Laval went on to win the national title.
- Aurora Bowie led the RSEQ in scoring during the regular season by a fair margin, earning 88 points. Laval's Adele Samson ranked second with 55 points.

- As usual, Laval had a dominant regular season, defeating everyone in their path by a large margin. Their only challenge was the Gee-Gees, who they were unable to defeat.
- In their RSEQ semi-final matchup, the Rouge et Or had a tight matchup with the Stingers, coming away with a 17-7 win. Earlier in the season, Laval had a much more convincing win over Concordia, earning a 45-15 victory.
