The RSEQ champion and host Ottawa Gee-Gees became the first conference gold medalist to advance to the national semifinals.
The Gee-Gees women’s rugby team has been crowned RSEQ Champions for a sixth consecutive season, defeating the rival Laval Rouge et Or on the road by a score of 25-15 to accomplish the feat.
After opening the season with a 22-22 draw against Sherbrooke earlier in the month, the Gee-Gees women’s rugby team was determined to ensure a similar result wouldn’t unfold on their home turf.
The Gee-Gees will take on Carleton at Raven Road Field on Friday at 6 p.m.
