RECRUIT ANNOUNCEMENT: Gee-Gees women’s hockey eager to build on strong foundation with nine exciting recruits
With a new head coach, a new conference, and 13 fresh faces, the 2024-25 season marked a transformative chapter for the Gee-Gees women's hockey program.
In their return to the OUA, the Gee-Gees posted a solid 15-11 record, clinched a playoff spot, and made an immediate impact in rinks across Ontario.
For the 2025-26 season, nine new athletes will be joining the team, eager to build on the foundation laid by the Gee-Gees' last season.

Jaylah Bottle | Kamloops, BC | Defence
Making the cross country move to Ottawa, Jaylah Bottle is joining the Gee-Gees after two seasons with the North Shore Warriors u18 squad. Bottle logged 28 points in 30 games during the 2024-25 season and will bring her presence to the Gee-Gees blue line. Bottle has represented Team British Columbia for three years.
Natasha Dube | Cumberland, ON | Forward
Natasha Dube comes to the Gee-Gees with an exciting hockey background. She played for the Ottawa Lady 67's u22 team during the 2024-25 season, making her a veteran on the Ottawa scene. In 40 games, Dube logged 17 assists and nine goals. In addition, Dube has represented Team Australia's u18 team since 2021, this year, she was named their captain for the u18 World Championship.
Alex Ferguson | Burlington, ON | Forward
The first of five NCAA transfers, Alex Ferguson is making the switch to U SPORTS after three seasons of NCAA hockey. Ferguson will be reuniting with Sydney Lynch and incoming Gee-Gee, Alexa Pongo, after playing together at Merrimack College during the 2023-24 season. With Merrimack, Ferguson recorded 14 points in 36 games during the 2024-25 season.
TJ Flores | Milton, ON | Forward
TJ Flores is joining the Gee-Gees after an NCAA season at Robert Morris University. She will be bringing u22AA Elite experience from two seasons with the Burlington Barracudas, including winning the 2024 u22AA Provincial Championship alongside current Gee-Gee, Ella Humphrey, and recruit, Lauren Mooney. During that season, Flores totalled 29 points in 46 games, scoring 12 goals and finding 17 assists.
Lauren Mooney | Caledon East, ON | Goalie
Reconnecting with her championship teammates from the 2024 u22AA Provincial Championships, Ella Humphrey and TJ Flores, Lauren Mooney is joining the Gee-Gees after an NCAA season with Bemidji State University. During the 2023-24 season, Mooney played 31 games, earning seven shutouts, a 1.61 goals against average and .929 save percentage.
Rebecca Morissette | Drummondville, QC | Forward
A Limoilou Titans alumnus, Rebecca Morissette will be reunited with former teammates, Beatrice Bilodeau, Maelle Laplante, and Clara Genier. In her final CEGEP season, she logged 31 points in 30 games, scoring 17 goals and 14 assists. Morisette spent the last two seasons with the Clarkson University Golden Knights in the NCAA, totalling 13 NCAA career points.
Alexa Pongo | Fenelon Falls, ON | Forward
With four years of NCAA experience, Alexa Pongo is making her return to Canada by putting on the Garnet and Grey. Pongo played alongside Sydney Lynch and Alex Ferguson at Merrimack College before playing for the University of Connecticut Huskies. She totalled 23 NCAA career points.
Emery Twardochleb | Whitehorse, YT | Forward
Emery Twardochleb joins the Gee-Gees after two great seasons with RINK HA Kelowna u18 Prep. Posting 17 points with five goals and 12 assists in the 2024-25 season, Twardochleb has proven herself at the CSSHL level, and during her time with Team British Columbia.
Riley Partington | | Goalie
After three seasons with the Western Flames u18 AAA program, Riley Partington is making the jump to U SPORTS hockey. In the 2024-25 season, she recorded a 2.01 goals against average and .935 save percentage over 17 games played.
This group of athletes is an exciting blend of size, skill, and speed complemented by great leadership and experience. Spanning all corners of the country and even another continent, the connections between new and incoming Gee-Gees foster chemistry and further strengthens the program's positive and competitive culture.
