Mahika Sarrazin made 27 saves in the Gee-Gees 5-0 victory over the Carleton Ravens, cementing the first shutout of the year, and the Gee-Gees first win.
The Gee-Gees have seen production from throughout the lineup in their opening two games, Alyssa Biesenthal leads the way with a pair of goals while rookie, Keara Merriman scored her first in the Garnet and Grey against the Ravens.
Ottawa racked up 18 penalty minutes in their last game, 12 in the third period. While the team killed off a 5-3 situation unscathed, the team will look to clean up their gameplay moving forward.
