Joly has been the Lead Assistant Coach of the women’s basketball program since September 2017. A Gatineau native and Gee-Gees alumni, Joly previously worked at Football Canada and Swimming Canada prior to joining the coaching staff full-time.
Joly’s coaching history began at the high school level from 2006 to 2009 and CEGEP Division 1 from 2010 to 2015. Joly was an assistant coach for gold medal winning Quebec U15 team in 2016 and the Quebec U17 team that won gold at the Canada Games in 2017. Joly served as the head coach of Quebec’s U14 team in 2017. She was recently named the head coach of the U14 Ontario Summer Development Program in Ottawa.
Joly is also the President and founder of a non-profit called Basket Plus which offers varsity sport teams the opportunity to be involved in the community whether locally, nationally or internationally. So far, they have built an outdoor basketball court in Togo, and a Sports Complex in Haiti with the help of the Gee-Gees women’s basketball program.
From 2001 to 2010, Joly played basketball in the Gatineau area. She was named Rookie of the Year in her first year of CEGEP and named MVP in her second-year before tearing her ACL her third year. She committed to the Gee-Gees and played one year in 2009-2010 for Coach Andy Sparks, before a final knee injury ended her competitive playing career.
Joly holds a Bachelor of Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University du Québec en Outaouais (UQO).
