Bio
As a NCCP certified coach, Katye Chase was previously with the Dawson College Blues Men’s Division 1 basketball team in an assistant coaching role from 2014-2017. In this position she also held the Student-Athlete Learning Teacher appointment and was responsible for managing student-athlete eligibility.
After her tenure at Dawson, she relocated to China in 2017 where she lived in Ningbo, teaching English Literature. In her post overseas, she ran the high school girls’ basketball program at Ningbo Humao International School from 2019-2023.
As a player, Chase competed in CEGEP with the Dawson College Blues Women’s Division 1 team in Montreal, Quebec from 2007-2009. Following this, she pursued a U SPORTS career with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees from 2009-11, 2012-2013.
Chase holds both a General BA and BA in English and Communications from the University of Ottawa and is a certified English Second Language Teacher; she is currently a high school English Teacher in Ottawa.
