RECAP: Bronwyn Williams claims double gold, Aidan Kirkham finds the podium twice for Ottawa
Ottawa, Ont – The 2026 OUA Nordic Ski Championships were held at Nakkertok this past weekend. Hosted by the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees with technical support from ENGNE, the event included the following teams: Algoma Thunderbirds, Carleton Ravens, Guelph Gryphons, Lakehead Thunderwolves, Laurentian Voyageurs, McMaster Mauraders, Nipissing Lakers, Queen's Gaels, Ottawa Gee-Gees, Toronto Varsity Blues, and Waterloo Warriors.
Women's Team Standings:
Gold- Carleton Ravens
Silver- Ottawa Gee-Gees
Bronze- Lakehead Thunderwolves
Men's Team Standings:

9km Interval Start Free Technique
In the women's race, Bronwyn Williams earned a gold medal finish for the Ottawa Gee-Gees (26:57.4) with Carleton's Helen McCulligh (27:06.4) following for silver. The Laurentian Voyageurs earned a podium finish from Margot West (27:16.5).
The Carleton Ravens nabbed gold and silver in the men's competition with Nathaniel Sneyd (23:37.7) and teammate Graeme Abbott (23:48.3) crossing the finish ahead of Aidan Kirkham (23:48.7), who was only tenths of second behind Abbott, earning bronze on behalf of the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
15km Mass Start Classic
Bronwyn Williams (50.42.6) earned a second gold medal in the women's competition. A pair of Carleton Ravens rounded out the podium as Helen McCulligh (20:45.0) and Sophia Giangrande (50:54.3) claiming silver and bronze.
The men's race saw a close finish between and Gee-Gees and Ravens. Graeme Abbott (42:51.4) won gold for the Ravens. Ottawa's Aidan Kirkham (42:52.1) earned silver, and Carleton's Nathaniel Sneyd (42:52.4) took bronze.
Relay
The Carleton Ravens took gold and bronze in the women's relay. Carleton A (Sophia Giangrande, Beth Marchant, and Helen McCulligh- 24:50.8) was the gold medal crew, followed the the Ottawa Gee-Gees (Erin Dunn, Maude Molgat, and Bronwyn Williams- 25:25.0). Carleton B (Fiona McClure, Tessa Quinn-Crook, and Maya Abraham- 25:40.1) claimed the final podium spot.
On the men's side, the Lakehead Thunderwolves (Nick Randall, Hudson McMillian, and Erikson Moore) and Carleton Ravens A (Kaeden Ward, Nathaniel Sneyd, and Graeme Abbott) crossed the line at the same time (21:04.2). Carleton B took the third-place spot (Isaac Fortin, Seamus Williams, and Noah Vanderzon- 21:17.2)
