Andrew was brought on staff in 2013 as a skill specific kicking coach. Working with the Gee-Gees on a part time basis wasn't nearly enough thus the 2015 season saw Andrew appointed as a full time assistant, working primarily with the backs and focusing on attack principles.
Andrew's coaching background started during his playing days when he was a player-coach on a number of teams. He coached the backs at Queen’s University during their 1990 championship year and was an integral part of coaching the Ottawa Irish men's teams of the '90s to multiple Provincial League and 7s titles. In 1999 he led the St Pius X-men to an OFSAA bronze medal, one of the highest ever finishes by an Ottawa high school.
Andrew left the game for a number of years to marry and start his own family of rugby players. This eventually brought him back to coaching mini, junior and high school players. Thankfully, U SPORTS rugby came calling and the partnership has been incredible.
As a player, Andrew had many great successes. He was a part of the Provincial Men's team that returned Ontario to National Champions after a long B.C. stranglehold. This led to representing the Canadian National team at both the 7 and 15 levels.
