The University of Ottawa men's rugby team fell in the RSEQ semi-final to McGill at Percival-Molson Stadium Saturday afternoon by a 37-22 score.

This was the first playoff game in the program's history since they joined the RSEQ in 2018.

Connor Williams scored two tries for the Garnet and Grey, while Duncan Hladik found pay dirt once. Nat Maginnis converted two of the tries and added a penalty kick.

Brody Rawding was named the MVP of the match for the Gee-Gees for his solid play at both ends of the pitch.

McGill and Ottawa met during the regular season, with McGill emerging 41-7 victors at Matt Anthony Field. Saturday's 37-22 score line marks tangible improvement from the Garnet and Grey over the course of the season.

With the vast majority of the team's roster staying intact for next season, the Gee-Gees have plenty to look forward to in the years to come.
