• Ottawa enters the road trip following a mixed showing the previous weekend. A disappointing 4-2 loss to the Concordia Stingers was followed by a convincing 6-1 win over McGill.
• The Gee-Gees are 1-4 in their first games of a week.
• Kennan MacIsaac is enjoying a nice start to the season. After struggling to find consistent playing time in 2021-22, MacIsaac is leading Gee-Gees defensemen with five points through eight games.

• The Ridgebacks handed the UQTR Patriotes their first loss of the season last week, beating the defending National Champions 5-2 in Oshawa and knocking them out of top spot in the U SPORTS national rankings.
• Saturday's matchup will be a battle of two of the country's most disciplined teams. Ottawa has been shorthanded 27 times (third fewest in U SPORTS), while the Ridgebacks have been on the penalty kill 28 times.
• The Ridgebacks 3-0 loss to the Gee-Gees on Oct. 30 is the lone time they've been shutout this season.
