Bio
Porter is the longest-standing assistant coach in the Gee-Gees basketball program, including a stint as an assistant to Jack Eisenmann.
A Gee-Gee alumnus, Porter played five seasons with the garnet and grey from 1990 to 1995 and was a vital member of the 1992-93 Wilson Cup Championship team. He established himself as one of the best big men in Gee-Gee history and was inducted into the inaugural class of the Gee-Gees Men's Basketball Hall of Fame. Originally from Toronto, Porter averaged 13.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game over his five seasons and was named a conference All-Star in 1992-93.
Porter works primarily with the post players for the Gee-Gees and has been an educator in Ottawa for over 20 years. He has been part of all four of the Gee-Gees Wilson Cup OUA Championship-wining squads.
