PLAYOFF PREVIEW: #2 Gee-Gees play host to Laurentian in OUA Quarterfinal

After a 20-2 regular season performance, the Gee-Gees enjoyed a first round by as the Laurentian Voyageurs took down the Windsor Lancers to earn the right to head to Ottawa for the OUA Quarterfinal set for Saturday night at 8:00pm.

Ottawa met with Laurentian twice in the regular season, picking up wins over the Voyageurs on the road (59-51, Jan. 17, 2025) and on home court (90-58, Jan. 25, 2025). The Gee-Gees will look to sweep the Voyageurs and claim a spot in the OUA semifinal.

Undefeated in Montpetit Hall, the Gee-Gees have had a great season. Jacques-Mélaine Guemeta leads the Gee-Gees with 15.8 points per game. Ankit Choudhary and Justin Ndjock-Tadjore follow closely with 15.5 and 14.6 points per game respectively.

Breaking the program record for All-Time Assists in the final weekend of regular season action, Gee-Gees point guard, Dragan Stajic, has averaged 5.3 assists per game, establishing himself as a key playmaker for the Garnet and Grey.

Brock Newton, Owen Kenny, Khalifa Koulamallah, and Matt Smith provided a spark for the Gee-Gees team throughout the season and will continue to be relied on during playoff action.
