NEWS : Brock Newton and Dragan Stajic named OUA All-Stars

The Gee-Gees had a pair of veterans recognized by the OUA as part of the 2023-24 All-Stars and Major Award winners. Brock Newton was named to the First Team and Dragan Stajic was selected to the Third Team for the second straight season.

Newton led the Gee-Gees in scoring with 17.0 points per game, which ranked eleventh across the conference and second in the East Division. His field goal percentage of 56.1 ranked  seventh in U SPORTS and fifth in OUA.

Newton also recorded career highs in rebounding (4.9 per game), blocks (15) steals (24), and assists (55), making him a complete post player. Newton is a finance major from Fergus, Ont.

Stajic was second in OUA and fourth in U SPORTS with 5.9 assists per game this season. The fourth-year point guard also ranked fourth in OUA in steals, picking up 2.2 per game. Stajic, a marketing student from Waterloo, Ont., was named to the OUA Third Team of All-Stars in 2022-23.
