WHAT TO WATCH FOR: 

• Ottawa will continue their slate of out of division opponents as they host OUA West foe Algoma and travel to OUA Central adversary Brock to close the first semester of action. The Gee-Gees have not taken on Algoma since the 2019-20 season, however, they defeated Brock in St. Catharines in Brock's RBC Classic in October.

• Facing strong competition last weekend, Ottawa bounced back into the win column with force. The Gee-Gees will close their first semester home schedule against Algoma on Friday night. With an unusual road trip in the cards, Saturday will be a travel day before taking on Brock on Sunday.

• Brock and Ottawa have the same lone blemish on their schedule, a loss to Lakehead in Thunder Bay. Otherwise, the two teams have looked to be firmly among the nation's best. In this week's U SPORTS Top 10, the Gee-Gees and Badgers are back-to-back at fourth and fifth respectively. Of note, the Badgers will face off against top-ranked Carleton earlier in the weekend prior to their matchup with Ottawa.

• Two key stats to watch for Algoma is in free throw and three-point shooting. The Thunderbirds rank fifth in the OUA in free throw percentage with 69.9 from the charity stripe. Algoma also takes a high rate of three-pointers (29 per game), with a quality shooter in Johan Germain (42.9%), Ottawa will have to account for his outside touch.
