GAME NOTES:
-
After getting into the win column last week against York, the Gee-Gees will hit the road again to visit the Waterloo Warriors, who are winless through the first two weeks of the season. The Gee-Gees have not paid a visit to Warriors Field since 2016.
-
While running back Charles Asselin was a revelation again with a career day rushing against York, quarterback Ben Maracle returned to the starting lineup from injury and shook off the rust in his first full game since the 2022 playoffs. The Gee-Gees will hope to kick the passing game into gear while the season is still young.
-
On defence, Ottawa currently gives up the second fewest yards per game in the OUA (304.5).
-
Waterloo struggled against Western last week, to the tune of a 71-3 loss in London. The Warriors fared much better in week one's narrow 31-29 loss to Toronto. Ottawa will have to determine which version of the Warriors they will see on Saturday.
