In the final five seconds of overtime against McMaster, with the Gee-Gees trailing by one, Allie McCarthy played hero, securing a buzzer-beating layup off an offensive board to steal the win. Despite another valiant team effort led by the scoring prowess of McCarthy, the Gee-Gees couldn't quite reproduce the magic the following night, falling to York in another overtime battle.

The men's team brought the energy on the road, starting with a blowout win over McMaster. Guard Alec Phaneuf dropped an explosive 24 points, while forward Louis Daoust provided an electric spark off the bench, scoring 14 points in just 16 scorching minutes on a 6-11 shooting clip. The following night against York saw a back-and-forth first half, but a decisive 20-3 run in the 3rd quarter locked in the second Gee-Gees victory in as many nights.

The matchup was poised to be an interesting one, as it featured some of the top talents in the OUA on both sides of the court. The Gee-Gees fought hard, but the Lancers ultimately came out on top. Ottawa will look to get back into the win column next weekend when they travel to face off against Trent.

Both the men's and women's squads came away with an avalanche of victories at the last home meet of the season. The Gee-Gees were untouchable in the water, more than doubling the score of their closest competitors. Ottawa swept all five relay events and claimed top spot on the podium in nearly every individual race, including a rare tie for first place in the Men's 100m Fly between teammates Baris Kartoglu and Nicholas Radjenovic. The team's depth was on full display as they swept the entire podium in ten separate events, including a top-7 sweep in the Women's 100m Free.
