The Gee-Gees cross country team has one home meet on the calendar this year and it takes place this Saturday at Mooney's Bay and the Terry Fox Athletic Facility. The annual Capital XC Open is run during a busy weekend of racing with the Eastern Ontario Elementary XC Championships and the High School Cross Country Challenge also being held on the site this weekend.

For the Gee-Gees, it is a chance to feature an expanded lineup including some members of the track and field team, as well as newer cross country team members who have joined mid-season. The team will race against University, College, and Open competitors from local clubs, including many alumni of the program. It is a 6km event for both the men's and women's fields. The men's event begins at 12:15 while the women will start at 1 p.m.

Competing for the Garnet and Grey are 22 student-athletes:
