- The Ottawa defence has been strong to start the season, allowing only 67 points per game thus far, a mark good enough for second best in the OUA.
- Depth has been key for this Gee-Gees team this season. Last weekend, 12 different players scored points and each averaged over five minutes played in the games.

- In their home opener, they took on Queen's, dropping the contest 83-61. Friday's game will represent the second ever regular season game played on campus at Ontario Tech.
- The Ridgebacks have three players on their roster from Ottawa, including leading scorer Graddy Kanku.

QUEEN'S GAME NOTES

- Queen's will be looking to respond to a 20-point defeat to the Gee-Gees in the preseason on their home court. In that game, Nikolay Alabi led the Gaels with 15 points.
- In their last matchup, the Gee-Gees held leading scorer Quinton Gray to seven points on 2-11 shooting. Gray will need to be his more productive self for the Gaels to log the type of performance that earned them an overtime win over Ottawa in Kingston last season.
- First year players and brothers Cole and Luka Syllas have been strong additions to the Gaels thus far this season with Cole averaging 12.3 and Luka averaging 8.8 points per game.
