• Ottawa opened their season with a win on the road against Windsor. A late 38-yard field goal from Campbell Fair sealed a 19-16 victory. Fair drilled four field goals, all from over 30 yards out, and was selected as the Canadian Football Perspective's OUA Special Teams Player of the Week.

• The Gee-Gees defence forced three turnovers (two interceptions and a fumble recovery). Eric Cumberbatch and Kevin Victome combined for four pass breakups, while Jonathan Fournier blocked a punt.

• J-P Cimankinda's 125-yard performance on the ground ranks him third in the nation in rushing yardage.

• The Gaels and Gee-Gees met three times in 2021, with Queen's emerging victorious in all three. They eventually fell in the Yates Cup to Western.
