It is with great pleasure that head coach Jean-Philippe Asselin announces the team captains for the 2010 uOttawa Gee-Gees football season. They are: Cyril Adjeitey, Patrick D'Amico, James McNaughton, Bradley Sinopoli and Sébastien Tétreault, as well as Chayce Elliott and Lee Shaver.
Cyril Adjeitey (Rec)
* 2009 second team All-Canadian and two-time OUA all-star (2008, 2009). A returning captain, he was the Gee-Gees second top receiver with 37 catches for 672 yards.
Patrick D'Amico (OL)
*Played a vital role in last year's offensive line and will continue to provide leadership for the group of guys in 2010. This will be his final year with the garnet and grey.
James McNaughton (LB)
*Recorded 19 tackles with the Gee-Gees in 2009. With the departure of for Gee-Gee Mike Cornell to the CFL's Calgary Stampeders, the linebackers group will look to McNaughton for inspiration and leadership.
Bradley Sinopoli (QB)
*Had a remarkable 2009 season as the Gee-Gees' starting quarterback. Arguably one of the top quarterbacks in the CIS this season, he will look to lead last year's third ranked offense.
Sébastien Tétreault (DT)
*Returning captain and two-time All-Canadian (2007 and 2009). He returns for his final year and will play a crucial role in this year's interior defensive line.
Chayce Elliott (CB)
*2009 OUA second team all-star, led the Gee-Gees in punt and kick returns (29 punt returns for 240 yards and 9 kick returns for 140 yards)
Lee Shaver (DB)
*Recorded 19 tackles last season; he returns for his final year and will be looked upon to provide leadership and big play abilities.
