The uOttawa Gee-Gees have moved into the No. 2 spot in this week's FRC - CIS Football Top Ten national rankings. After cruising to a 45-3 victory over the York Lions this past weekend, the garnet and grey remain the only OUA team with a perfect 3-0 record.
With three consecutive wins, the Gee-Gees have climbed from the No. 5 spot to the No. 2 spot, and are only second to the Laval Rouge et Or this week. This marks the Gee-Gees highest national ranking since 2006 when they held the No. 2 position for the last six weeks of the campaign.
The Gee-Gees will put their perfect record on the line this weekend against the visiting McMaster Marauders (2-1 OUA) at Frank Clair Stadium on Saturday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m. The game will be broadcasted live here in Ottawa on Rogers Cable 22, as well as on SSN Canada.
Tickets to the game can be purchased at the Gee-Gees box office located at the uOttawa Sports Complex Client Services counter or in person one hour before the game. Season tickets are still available for purchase at www.geegees.ca.
