Third-year kicker Matthew Falvo, Welland, Ont., was clearly the game hero for the Gee-Gees this past weekend as they faced the Queen's Gaels (1-3 OUA), and was called upon twice in the game to make some clutch field goals. Not only did Falvo make a 26-yard field goal to send the game into overtime at 14:42 in the fourth quarter, but he also made the game-winning field goal in overtime from 30 yards out. Falvo was also named this week's OUA special teams football player of the week.
The Gee-Gees remain on the road this week as they travel to Toronto to take on the University of Toronto (1-3 OUA), Saturday, October 2, at 1:00 p.m. (SSN Canada).
