Gee-Gees women's soccer team's outstanding performance recognized at Ottawa City Hall

The Gee-Gees women's soccer team, who recently won the 2018 U SPORTS Championship banner, received a special invitation on December 5 from City of Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson. He highlighted their outstanding performance at the City Council meeting and then proclaimed December 5 as '2018 University of Ottawa Women's Soccer Team Day'.  The players and coaches also shared breakfast with the mayor.

After an impressive season boasting a 20-1-1-1 record and only 1 defeat, the team captured the OUA title and took the field by storm during the U SPORTS women's soccer championship held at uOttawa. A celebration was also held the same day at uOttawa to recognize the women's soccer and rugby teams U SPORTS medalists.
