Matthew Dopud
Title: Goaltenders Coach
Since: 2016

A staff member and goalie coach at Stittsville’s Complete Hockey Development Centre, Dopud began coaching goaltenders when he was 16 with Dustin Traylen, the president of the Brockville Braves. He has also previously coached at the bantam AA level in Montreal.  Dopud was drafted by the St. John’s Sea Dogs in 2006.  After a season with the Kanata Stallions, Dopud was back in the QMJHL with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies before spending two seasons with the Rimouski Oceanic. The Pointe-Claire, Que., product led the OUA in goals against average in 2010-11, his first of four years at Carleton. “Hockey has given me so much in my life and it’s been a big positive thing for me on and off the ice. That made me want to become a coach and give that back to others.”
