The uOttawa Gee-Gees football program has partnered with Ottawa High School Football (OHSF) and National Capital Secondary Schools Athletic Association (NCSSAA) to host the second annual OHSF Awards Banquet on May 29.

The luncheon will recognize the outstanding athletic and academic performers from Ottawa's high school teams at the home of Gee-Gees football, 200 Lees Ave.

OHSF will reveal the winners of the NCSSAA Most Valuable Offensive Player, NCSSAA Most Valuable Defensive Player, NCSSAA Top Lineman, and the NCSSAA Community Service Award at the event. Nominees will be announced on the association's social media accounts before the event.

Members of the NCSSAA All-Academic Team, and 1st and 2nd team all-stars will also be in attendance to be recognized. Those teams are also being announced by OHSF ahead of the event.

"On behalf of all Ottawa High School Football coaches, we are very excited to partner with the University of Ottawa and celebrate the hard work and commitment of high school players in the Ottawa area," says Kevin Kelly, a Gee-Gees Football Hall of Fame member and teacher at St. Joseph who is aiding the organization.

Gee-Gees head coach Jamie Barresi and several current uOttawa student-athletes will be on hand at the event to speak with the award winners and help celebrate their success.
