The Gee-Gees reclaim the no. 9 spot where they were in the pre-season poll, and head to York (0-4) this weekend looking to improve to 3-1 on the season. There are five OUA conference teams ranked in this week's football Top Ten.
The women's soccer team remains ranked no. 1 in the nation for the fourth straight week and now holds a regular season record of 5-0-1. Ottawa's 19 goals for lead the OUA, and the team has allowed just three goals in the opening six games of the regular season. Mikayla Morton leads the OUA with eight goals and nine points. This week Ottawa travels to RMC (0-4-0) and Queen's (4-0-1).
The women's rugby team moved up one spot back to the no. 4 position in this week's Top Ten following its 46-12 victory over Carleton. The Gee-Gees host no. 10 ranked Sherbrooke (1-1-1) this Saturday in a crucial match as the teams tied in their first meeting this season.
New this week, the men's cross country team received an honourable mention in the Top Ten following its strong performance at the McGill Open. Second-year André Alie-Lamarche finished second with four teammates at 11-12-13-14 for a second place team score at the event, which was the first of the year for the Gee-Gees.
